1. IRÁN: ESTADOS UNIDOS AMPLÍA LA PRESIÓN ECONÓMICA

ESPAÑOL:
Estados Unidos elevó nuevamente la presión sobre Irán al advertir que los países y empresas que mantengan negocios con Teherán podrían enfrentar sanciones secundarias. Washington presentó la medida como una nueva fase de su ofensiva económica, mientras Irán amenazó con responder contra quienes colaboren con las sanciones. El conflicto, próximo a cumplir seis meses, mantiene al estrecho de Ormuz en el centro de la disputa y genera preocupación por sus consecuencias sobre el comercio y la energía mundial. 

ENGLISH:
The United States has intensified economic pressure on Iran by warning countries and companies that continue doing business with Tehran that they could face secondary sanctions. Washington described the move as a new phase of its economic offensive, while Iran threatened retaliation against countries supporting the sanctions. With the conflict approaching its six-month mark, the Strait of Hormuz remains at the center of the confrontation, raising concerns over global trade and energy supplies.

2. UCRANIA: EUROPA REFUERZA SU APOYO A KIEV

ESPAÑOL:
Ucrania conmemoró el 35.º aniversario de su independencia mientras sus aliados europeos reafirmaron el respaldo político y militar a Kiev. El presidente Volodímir Zelenski dijo que Ucrania busca la paz, pero rechazó cualquier acuerdo que implique una rendición o comprometa su soberanía. Reino Unido anunció cooperación tecnológica para la fabricación de misiles Storm Shadow y Europa comprometió nuevos recursos para la defensa aérea ucraniana.

ENGLISH:
Ukraine marked the 35th anniversary of its independence as European allies reaffirmed political and military support for Kyiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine wants peace but rejected any settlement that would amount to surrender or compromise its sovereignty. Britain announced technological cooperation to help Ukraine produce Storm Shadow missiles, while Europe pledged additional resources for Ukrainian air defenses.

La relación comercial entre Estados Unidos y Canadá volvió a deteriorarse. El presidente Donald Trump amenazó con elevar al 50% los aranceles sobre vehículos y camiones canadienses a partir de enero de 2027, mientras el primer ministro Mark Carney prepara represalias y busca reducir la dependencia económica de su principal socio. La disputa amenaza con afectar a industrias integradas de ambos países.

Trade relations between the United States and Canada have deteriorated again. President Donald Trump has threatened to raise tariffs on Canadian cars and trucks to 50% from January 2027, while Prime Minister Mark Carney is preparing retaliation and seeking to reduce Canada's economic dependence on its largest trading partner. The dispute threatens industries whose supply chains are deeply integrated across the two countries.

La violencia continúa en Gaza pese a los esfuerzos diplomáticos para avanzar hacia un acuerdo. Ataques israelíes y disparos dejaron al menos cuatro palestinos muertos, entre ellos dos niños, según autoridades sanitarias locales. La situación mantiene bajo presión los esfuerzos estadounidenses para alcanzar una solución política mientras persisten las acusaciones de violaciones del alto el fuego. 

ENGLISH:
Violence continues in Gaza despite diplomatic efforts to advance a political agreement. Israeli strikes and gunfire killed at least four Palestinians, including two children, according to local health officials. The developments are placing further pressure on U.S. efforts to secure a political settlement, while accusations of ceasefire violations continue.

5. SIRIA SALE DE LA LISTA ESTADOUNIDENSE DE PAÍSES PATROCINADORES DEL TERRORISMO

Estados Unidos retiró oficialmente a Siria de su lista de países patrocinadores del terrorismo, donde permanecía desde 1979. La decisión representa un importante cambio en la relación entre Washington y Damasco y puede facilitar inversiones y operaciones financieras internacionales destinadas a la reconstrucción siria. La medida también modifica el equilibrio diplomático en Oriente Medio. 

ENGLISH:
The United States officially removed Syria from its list of state sponsors of terrorism, where Damascus had remained since 1979. The decision marks a major shift in Washington's relationship with Syria and could facilitate international investment and financial operations aimed at rebuilding the country. The move also represents a significant diplomatic change in the Middle East.

El ataque provocó nuevas protestas de residentes que reclaman mayor protección estatal. La violencia de las pandillas continúa dificultando la seguridad y el proceso político haitiano.

At least 47 people were killed and 22 others injured in an overnight gang raid in Kenscoff, a community overlooking Haiti's capital, according to the United Nations. Residents have demanded stronger protection from the authorities. Gang violence continues to undermine security and complicate Haiti's already fragile political process.

9. CHINA: RECALL HISTÓRICO DE 4,3 MILLONES DE VEHÍCULOS

China ordenó el mayor retiro de vehículos de su historia, con unos 4,3 millones de unidades afectadas por problemas relacionados con los mecanismos de apertura de emergencia de las puertas. Tesla concentra casi tres millones de vehículos dentro de la campaña, junto con fabricantes chinos como Xiaomi, Leapmotor y Xpeng. El episodio refuerza la presión regulatoria sobre la industria automotriz eléctrica. 

ENGLISH:
China has ordered the largest vehicle recall in its history, involving approximately 4.3 million vehicles because of safety concerns related to emergency door-release mechanisms. Tesla accounts for nearly three million vehicles in the campaign, alongside Chinese manufacturers including Xiaomi, Leapmotor and Xpeng. The recall adds to growing regulatory scrutiny of the electric vehicle industry.

The Philippine Senate is continuing the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte. During Day 18, prosecutors presented new testimony concerning the alleged misuse of confidential funds belonging to the Office of the Vice President. The proceedings remain a major political confrontation in the Philippines and could have significant consequences for the country's political succession.
