A 23-year-old Spanish man was killed and two 17-year-old teenagers, one Peruvian and one Colombian, were seriously injured in a machete attack in Madrid's Ciudad Lineal district as they were arriving at the entrance of the victim's residential building.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight near a park on Elfo Street, next to a bar district, where several young men became involved in a violent confrontation using machetes. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Police investigation
Sources linked to the Provincial Information Brigade confirmed to the JMH International Consortium of Journalists that investigators are working to clarify the circumstances of the incident and identify those responsible.

Un joven español de 23 años murió y otros dos adolescentes de 17 años, de nacionalidad peruana y colombiana, resultaron gravemente heridos tras un ataque con machetes ocurrido en el distrito de Ciudad Lineal, en Madrid, cuando llegaban al portal de la vivienda de la víctima fatal.

Los hechos ocurrieron poco después de la medianoche en las inmediaciones de un parque situado en la calle Elfo, junto a una zona de bares, donde varios jóvenes protagonizaron una violenta reyerta con machetes. Las circunstancias del enfrentamiento son investigadas por la Policía.
