¿Colapsa la Unión Europea? Italia suspende el Acuerdo Shengen con España.

Una profunda ruptura se ha producido en la Unión Europea tras la decisión de Italia de suspender temporalmente la aplicación del espacio Schengen con España para los ciudadanos extracomunitarios que ingresen desde territorio español, en respuesta a la crisis migratoria desencadenada por la llegada masiva de inmigrantes marroquíes a Ceuta.

A deep rift has emerged within the European Union after Italy temporarily suspended the application of the Schengen Area with Spain for non-EU nationals arriving from Spanish territory, in response to the migration crisis triggered by the mass arrival of Moroccan migrants in Ceuta.

La decisión fue adoptada por el Ministerio del Interior italiano tras una reunión del Comité de Análisis sobre Inmigración y Seguridad de las Fronteras, presidida este viernes por el ministro Matteo Piantedosi en la sede del Viminal.

Según el Gobierno italiano, la medida responde a la evolución de la crisis migratoria y al objetivo de reforzar los controles fronterizos.

Piantedosi también mantuvo una conversación telefónica con el ministro del Interior francés, Laurent Nuñez, durante la cual ambos acordaron intensificar los controles en la frontera terrestre entre Francia e Italia.

El Ministerio del Interior italiano señaló que el refuerzo de los controles se llevará a cabo en el marco de los acuerdos de cooperación policial vigentes entre ambos países para combatir la inmigración irregular y fortalecer la seguridad en las fronteras exteriores de la Unión Europea.

A deep rift has emerged within the European Union after Italy temporarily suspended the application of the Schengen Area with Spain for non-EU nationals arriving from Spanish territory, in response to the migration crisis triggered by the mass arrival of Moroccan migrants in Ceuta.

The decision was taken by Italy's Interior Ministry following a meeting of the Committee for the Analysis of Immigration and Border Security, chaired on Friday by Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi at the Viminale.

According to the Italian government, the measure responds to the evolving migration crisis and aims to strengthen border controls.

Piantedosi also held a telephone conversation with French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez, during which both agreed to reinforce controls along the France–Italy land border.

Italy's Interior Ministry said the additional controls will be implemented under existing police cooperation agreements between the two countries to combat irregular migration and strengthen security at the European Union's external borders.

イタリアは、スペイン領から入国する欧州連合（EU）域外国籍者を対象にスペインとのシェンゲン協定の適用を一時停止した。これは、セウタへのモロッコ人移民の大量流入によって引き起こされた移民危機を受けた措置であり、この決定はEU内に大きな亀裂を生じさせた。

この決定は、金曜日にローマのヴィミナーレで開催された移民・国境安全保障分析委員会の会合後、マッテオ・ピアンテドージ内務相の主導で採択された。

イタリア政府は、この措置は移民危機の進展を踏まえたものであり、国境管理を強化することを目的としていると説明した。

また、ピアンテドージ内務相はフランスのローラン・ニュニェ内務相と電話会談を行い、フランス・イタリア国境における検問を強化することで合意した。

イタリア内務省は、両国間の既存の警察協力協定の枠組みに基づき、不法移民対策とEU域外国境の安全強化を目的として追加の国境管理を実施するとしている。
