Dos hombres, de 19 y 44 años, murieron en el lugar. Una mujer de 56 años falleció después de ser trasladada de urgencia al Centro Médico Harborview con heridas de gravedad.
El tiroteo ocurrió en el Seattle Center, donde se desarrollaba el popular festival gastronómico.
Las autoridades informaron al Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas JMH que otras cuatro personas —un niño de 2 años, un hombre de 23 y dos mujeres de 39 y 40 años— fueron hospitalizadas.
La Policía sospecha que dos personas intercambiaron disparos. Un sospechoso fue detenido aproximadamente tres horas después del tiroteo, informó la alcaldesa Katie Wilson.
El detenido fue trasladado a la Jefatura de Policía de Seattle para ser interrogado. El segundo sospechoso permanece prófugo, declaró Tyrone Davis, subjefe de la Policía de Seattle.

Police believe two people exchanged gunfire. One suspect was arrested about three hours after the shooting, Mayor Katie Wilson said.
The suspect was taken to Seattle Police Headquarters for questioning. The second suspect remains at large, Seattle Police Deputy Chief Tyrone Davis said.
Witnesses described scenes of chaos and confusion after gunshots rang out, as attendees scrambled to reach safety.
